JustinGeoSci develops software for the geosciences and for computational geometry, in Python and Rust. Every package is built around the same commitments: scientific rigor, reproducible methods traceable to their sources, and documentation that explains how to use each function and why it works.
The current work is organized into two areas, each with an overview page and its own documented packages.
- Thermal Sciences: The physics of the lower atmosphere and its effect on people. atmoflux computes atmospheric state, radiation, and surface energy fluxes; thermadex (in development) covers thermal comfort and heat stress.
- Computational Geometry: Geometry that must be right every time, not just most of the time. arithmetica provides exact geometric predicates that return the correct answer for every finite input, including the near-degenerate cases where ordinary floating-point code fails. More is in development.
